Wow thats amazing...Im in a design institute and we do loads of stuff that I just dont seem to understand on how it would relate with me later on in the future....like animating using after effects...WTF!? lol

Yea, same here. I do 3D animation for my job, and that's what I want to get my masters in, but so far all we have done is 2D animation. And not using Toon Boom, or Flash, or something else cool on the computer. But TRADITIONAL 2D animation. As in I have HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of sheets of paper piled all over my desk...

Oh god dont start on toon boom --____--" spent more then 7 hours today trying to make a bouncing ball with a tail attached to it and making the physics look correct...

I know what you mean with the piled sheets mate, I had that last year....and believe my luck...I never numbered my frames and the window was open and they went everywhere....took me ages to fix together all the parts on the line tester XD

Haha - that's funny that you should mention balls with tails. I had to do two of those just a couple weeks ago. I have a huge stack of paper on my desk from that nightmare assignment...

I think when I'm done with the semester I'm gonna put together a short flash movie of the progression of my animation, from week to week, to show what I've been getting out of it.

On that topic - why aren't any of your animations posted on your page?

Thats my educational side of my life and this is my Hobby you know? I try yo keep them apart because the work I do in Uni doesn't have any passion because it has to be done where as the work I post here are only thing I enjoy doing and it just so happens to be that there arent any animations yet...Im more of a 3D person anyways =]

I think the assignment with sack of flour is a lot more worse than the ball with tail to be honest.

I hear you. I think the ball with the tail killed me because I just had to draw SO MANY frames... Damn traditional animation...
